pumpkin patch

We paid a visit to our favorite pumpkin patch in Eaton again this year! In addition to the best pumpkins around, they have goats, a giant turkey, and "hippie" chickens. They call them hippie chickens because they have a strange configuration of shaggy feathers on their wee heads. Too funny :-)

Bronco Game

Jason and Jaron took Cora and Maddie to a pre-season Bronco game back in August . . . what fun! They even made it on to the jumbotron!

Madrigal's first day of preschool at Cameron

This is a flash-back to August 23rd when I walked Mads accross the street to Cameron for preschool on her very first day! It was incredibly difficult for me, but she had such a blast :-) She can now write her name, can recognize numbers to 10 and count to 30. She recognizes all her letters of the alphabet and can write most of them with just a little bit of help too! Hooray for Maddie June, our little Cameron school scholar!!!!!!

punkins

Though the pumpkins were too pricey,
pink piggies pranced for free.
And we jumped 'round in the castle,
that is, until we had to pee.
We could have rode a pony,
but that was not to be . . . .
Instead we wolfed down popcorn!
And partook of a story!
What fun we had at the harvest fest with
Sash, Diane, Craig, Luke, Kyle and Ollie!

Harvest Festival

sweet potato face girl

This last Saturday, Miss Ruby and I were privileged to dine with my dear, sweet friends Sasha, Katie, Brooke, and Tammi at a hip pizza joint in Denver . . . .
As you can see below, Ruby is as much of a flirt with the boys as her brother Jack is with the girls! Tammi's honey Todd is the lucky fellow who crashed our girls' night :-)

(The other monkeys were with their daddy and Katie's hubby Craig and their 2 little darlin's. Though there are no pictures of this revelry, I can tell you that when I showed up to collect them, practically everyone was naked! Eeek!)

girls' night out!

Ruby's first cereal!

She ate the ENTIRE serving the first go! That's my girl!

artiste

Madrigal loves to paint, draw and practice writing her letters! My favorite words are the ones she creates herself like "djielmp." We have fun deciding what these words mean :-)

charge of the binkie brigade or cowboy zombies?

Aunt Heidi's visit!

Oh Aunt Heidi, we love your gentle soul . . . .

Uncle Jaron and Poppa Don help with nap time!

Again--fair warning--this could happen to you if you let us in your door!

roobie-doobie-doo

She gets this from her dad . . . .
(I sleep curled up in a little ball)
When she was "inside" she was a real kicker. My theory now is she was attempting this position in utero!

little doggies

The kids just love "rockin' out" on this sweet little rocking horse our dear friends Betsy, Iris, Reina, Hannah, Sirah, and John gave to us! (If you squeeze it's left ear it makes a galloping sound , followed by a whinny and a snort!) This is good for literally HOURS of enjoyment . . . ah . . . life's little pleasures :-)
(Jack is in red hat, Dylan in black. Maddie June in PINK, of course!)
