Juneteenth
THESE pics document our CRAZY evening at Pizza Blast, right here in G-town, on Miss Moon's big fourth birthday! It is this crazy, sort-of-ghetto, Chuck-E-Cheeseish joint. We had it practically all to ourselves, and it was awesome!
It is a measure of the strangeness of my life when I found myself saying: "I wish we could come here EVERY night!"

So the following pics are from our big birthday bash at Auntie Mo, Uncle Paul, Fiona, and Joe's house (with Grandma Coffee and Poppa Dave) in June. Maddie amd Joey's birthdays are on the 19th and 17th, respectively, so we usually celebrate them together.
Lucky them! Lucky us!
I especially love the dog pile on Poppa pics at the very bottom . . . .

epiphany
Four things have recently greatly altered my thinking on many subjects: 1) the book "Confessions of a Slacker Mom" by Muffy Mead-Ferro (given to me by the lovely Janna Rone), 2) the movie "An Inconvenient Truth," 3) the magazine Real Simple, and 4) Method cleaning products. I have had an epiphany, of sorts. and I want to share . . . .
Let's show our children, by example, that love is more important than money!
Let's simplify our lives . . . .
Let's stop buying so much junk from companies that don't take care of their employees or, in the end, this great-big-crazy-beautiful world in which we live. Let's work less and spend less!

Let's stop buying so much junk from companies that don't take care of their employees or, in the end, this great-big-crazy-beautiful world in which we live. Let's work less and spend less!
Let's start using cleaning products that are earth and people friendly! Let's start buying organic and locally grown food (the extra pennies are made up tenfold in the health and well-being we ALL then get to enjoy!) Let's start thinking first about our children. And our children's children. And what we are leaving to them! They don't need box after box of wastefully packaged plastic toys or lots of clothes or the latest gadgets. They need us to be involved and fully invested in their lives and their future! Let's take back our political power from special interest groups! And by this I mean big oil. And the pharmaceutical companies. And the insurance industry!
Let us hold all those in this world who think they deserve to live above morality at the expense of the rest of us accountable for their actions.
