Saint Patrick's day sillies

ruba tuba turns one

Following is the record of Ruby Claire's very first birthday bash! Grandma Coffee made her a delicious lemon cake. In fact, she made TWO delicious lemon cakes. One just for Ruby and one for the rest of us! Ruby thought smashing her hands into the funny bear cake was great fun, but declined to actually eat any of it . . . .

reading with Papa Don

Oh how we love our Papa! On this night, he graciously read stories to the girls while we put the boys to bed :-)

drama

Madrigal June is our resident drama queen. Not in that tired condescending term sort-of way--for real! She meticulously puts together these detailed ensembles for herself to wear and then acts out different parts in her very own plays. All this during everyone else's nap times :-) Dylan and Jack are not to be out-done, however. They enjoy a good bit of cross-dressing as much as the next bloke! And then of course there is princess Ruby . . . .

santa hats

Below are some pics of silly kids in santa hats, including a rare photo of the one and only . . . Jelly the Christmas butterfly (aka Madrigal June)!

snowy day

Ahhhh . . . snow angels . . . sledding . . . rosy red cheeks . . . building a snow lady . . . then in for hot cocoa! Such winter fun! Of course, just getting the gear on takes us nearly as long as we are willing to spend outside in the elements on such a day, but it was still such a kick :-) These pics are from back in December. It being March now, I am quite ready for the snowy days to be over and the rainy/sunny days to commence!
